Indra / Kaiserkeller
1960: For the first time ever the band appears as “The Beatles” at the Indra, a former strip club. In the same year they move to the Kaiserkeller where they meet Ringo Starr.

Top Ten
1961: The Beatles become more and more local heroes. 92 nights in a row they play on the stage of the Top Ten: “Mach Schau!” They are the backing band of the great Tony Sheridan and they record their first real single. Producer of “My Bonnie” is Bert Kaempfert.

1962: On the 13th of April the legendary Star Club opens its doors in the Grosse Freiheit 39. The Beatles play on the opening night. They have two more engagements the same year, now with Ringo Starr on drums and their famous “moptops”!
